Thanks to advanced technology, in particular highly developed sensor technology and AI-based control systems, it is now theoretically possible to use robots in almost all areas.<\/p>\n<p>At least that is the widespread opinion. In practice, however, especially in serious automation projects with clear requirements for the throughput of an AGV system, a differentiated approach is required. Here, the AGV (automated guided vehicle system) should be understood as an organisational instrument whose success depends largely on adapted framework conditions.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, I would like to put forward the following theses for discussion:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Beware of exaggerated flexibility requirements!<\/strong> Remain realistic and set clear priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Automation is not a one-way street!
