53rd AGV Talk: Cybersecurity with and without AI in practice

Thursday, 30 April 2026, 4–5 p.m.:

AGV-Talk No. 53

Moderator: Dr Günter Ullrich, Head of Forum-FTS and VDI FA FTS
Guests: Dr Maja Ullrich and Regina Stoiber

Things are starting to get serious. The deadlines for the entry into force of several European regulations are drawing nearer. For example, the Machinery Regulation (MVO), the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the AI Act must be implemented shortly.

My two guests have practical experience in the field:

  • Regina Stoiber is Managing Director of Datenbeschützerin GmbH (Germany) and Ms Cybersecurity, Inc. (USA) and makes the complex topics of cybersecurity, data protection and AI management easy to understand. Through Weitblick GmbH, she provides an online service that enables companies to implement the requirements of standards and legislation themselves.
  • Dr Maja Ullrich heads the ‘Central Division AI and Data Governance’ at Essen University Hospital and is responsible for developing and implementing binding regulations and processes for the transparent, legally compliant and ethical handling of data and artificial intelligence.
Our focus in the FTS Talk will be on topics relevant to practice; we will not only identify issues but also provide practical guidance on implementation. Another practical question, for example, is to what extent an FTF/AGV or an AMR falls under high-risk AI…

We look forward to the discussion.
