VDI-Flurförderzeug­tagung

The first event is the 22nd VDI-Flurförderzeugtagung, which will be held in Mainz on 19 and 20 September 2023. There, Dr Ullrich will give a technical lecture entitled “A tribute to the forklift driver – A contribution to honest AGV planning”. What does it mean to automate a forklift truck?
What tasks does a forklift driver take on? What do these considerations mean for AGV planning and design?

2.Lecture

Fraunhofer IPA Technologie­forum

The second event is the 10th Technology Forum “Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Mobile Robots – Opportunity, Technology, Economy” at the Fraunhofer Institute IPA Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, which will take place on 27 September 2023 in Stuttgart. There, Dr Ullrich will give a technical lecture entitled “Why don’t we see more autonomous systems in the public domain? Hurdles for the development of a fused sensor system according to DIN IEC/TS 62998”. In it, he will explain the challenges and potentials of developing autonomous systems for public spaces and give an overview of the current norms and standards for the safety of fused sensor systems.
