Machinery Directive becomes Machinery Ordinance
What does this mean for mobile robotics?
The new Machinery Regulation will come into force from January 2027 at the latest and will bring with it a fundamental reorganisation of the safety requirements for machinery and equipment within the EU. The aim is to adapt the regulations to the current state of the art – particularly with regard to cyber risks from the internet and the use of artificial intelligence to realise autonomous functions.
These changes are at the centre of the forum. The focus will be on mobile robotics. Together we will discuss the effects on manufacturers of systems and components as well as on users.
